ABCD Recipients Shine at Old Village School Board Meeting

At the April 8th Board of Education meeting, held at Old Village School, Northville Public Schools proudly recognized five outstanding staff members with the district’s “Above and Beyond the Call of Duty” (ABCD) Award. This honor celebrates staff who make extraordinary contributions to their school community—demonstrating care, commitment, and a positive impact on students, families, and colleagues.

🎉 Beth Brown & Kelly Saline
Half-Day Preschool Teachers, Old Village School

“Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Saline have helped my son fall in love with school. He wakes up excited every day to be in their classroom and even begs us to take him on his off days! They’ve created a welcoming and inclusive space where students are giddy with excitement to start the day. Their weekly updates and daily photos help us stay connected and informed.”

“When our kindergartener broke his leg and had to attend school in a wheelchair, Christine made sure he got safely to and from his classroom and included him in all activities. She made him feel comfortable and brought joy to a challenging time. We’re so grateful!”

Preschool Teacher, Thornton Creek Elementary
